Keith Facer has more than 20 years legal expertise and is licensed to practice law in New York, New Jersey, California, and Utah.

He has argued civil cases in the state and federal courts of New York and New Jersey, and intellectual property cases before the Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in Manhattan, and before the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in Washington D.C.

Keith began his legal career in the insurance litigation field from 1997-2000. In 2000, Keith joined AT&T in their Strategic Sourcing group negotiating in-bound hardware and software technology agreements in support of AT&T’s Global Solutions group.

In 2005, Keith joined BEA Systems as Legal Counsel and became BEA’s licensing expert. Keith’s software licensing expertise generated millions in revenue for BEA in its licensing compliance efforts. Keith also led licensing litigation in the Belgian and Dutch courts achieving winning decisions in each court.

In 2008 Keith joined Varian Medical Systems, Inc. as Legal Counsel for Varian’s Imaging Components Group with manufacturing operations in Salt Lake City, UT and Las Vegas, NV and business locations in Europe and Asia. Keith quickly became a trusted legal and strategic advisor to Varian’s Executive teams, corporate officers, and senior management in the medical device manufacturing, medical and industrial x-ray, software, international imports and exports, and high technology fields. Keith’s work with Varian includes significant international work in Asia, Oceana, Europe, Russia, and the Middle East.
